Establishing Christmas Traditions With Your Loved Ones
One minute we're moaning about baubles appearing in August, the next it's December 20th everyone's desperate to "feel merry." Christmas traditions are a fool proof way to pull yourself out of a festive slump- the sooner you start them, the better.
Maybe the best thing about a Christmas tradition is that it's personal to your family, so I've listed some that are open to interpretation. Go wild!
1. Cook or bake something special.
Every Christmas Eve since I was young, my family have made pizza using our breadmaker. Christmas baking is also a great option if you're good at baking, we however, are not.
2. Choosing a particular film or show to watch.
Post-pizza, I always watched Arthur Christmas. Though it doesn't compare to The Holiday or Love Actually, knowing it would be the last thing I watched before Christmas day made it really special.
3. Make a Christmas Cocktail.
Have a quick browse of Pinterest for alllllll the inspiration- or try a mocktail if Christmas Eve was heavy night.
4. Play a family game.
Headbandz + Prosecco = absolute christmas carnage.
5. Make a Christmas Breakfast.
There's no better way to start your Christmas day, especially if you're all dashing out to visit family. My personal favourite are the Jus-Rol Cinnamon Swirls- your kitchen will never better than when they're baking.
