5 Festive Activities For Under A Fiver
Hours of fun for less than the price of a mulled wine. Interested?
Every year I find myself imagining a whimsical Christmas Bucket List in the months leading up to the festive season, only to realise I neither have the funds nor the time to action it come December. That is why I've put together a list of activities you can do this Christmas, with minimal planning and cost.
1. Visit a Christmas market.
I'm lucky to live a 10 minute walk from Winchester Christmas market, and I wander around it regularly without spending a penny, despite the seemingly endless knick knacks and chutneys. It's nice enough just to inhale the smell of all-things-mulled and bratwurst.
2. Build a gingerbread house!
My favourite is £4 from Flying Tiger. Check it out here!
3. Bake something christmassy.
Similar in tone to the last one, with a much lower rate of success. Yet here we are, year after year home-baking cookies so oddly shaped they could win the Turner Prize
4. Meet a friend for a festive coffee.
Lots of places have coffee and cake deals around Christmas if you try their new festive drinks- it's also a perfect opportunity for a catch up.
5. Drive around and look at Christmas lights.
It shouldn't shock anyone that this is on the list.
